Flexible & Creative Options
to Help Bridge the Gaps
About
I have worked in the Autism Spectrum Disorder field for over 20 years now. I started as a teacher assistant, moved into teaching, then classroom consulting, then the private arena. I’ve now worked with kids aged 3-16, in homes, schools and clinics, and I still love what I do! - so I am creating space for more of “today’s ABA”- a compassionate, ethical, flexible, big picture, whole-family kind of Applied Behavior Analysis.
There are massive gaps between 1:1 therapy and school, and I am bridging those gaps. I am enmeshing my teaching background with my ABA experience, and helping more kids be more successful in doing so.
I also provide more flexible services to families, because full-time, clinic-based services don’t work for everyone, and honestly- aren’t always needed.
Therefore, the mission of A Balanced Approach is to balance home, school, and community, as well as 1:1, small group and large group services.
In addition to intensive family supports/coaching and IEP advocacy, I help families determine the creative combination of services and settings that work best for them and ultimately helps everyone achieve a better quality of life.
Currently able to work with the following funding sources:
